Money Magazine uses statistical data to select the 100 Best Places to Live in America each year. The most recent list (2010) selected Eden Prairie, Minnesota as the number 1 place to live in the country! This list is focused on mid-size cities with populations ranging from 50,000-300,000 people. Minnesota has 5 cities in the top 25- that is a huge percentage. The other four cities are Apple Valley, Woodbury, Plymouth, and Eagan.

In addition to choosing the best places to live every year, Money Magazine compiles a list of the 100 best small towns in America. There are many different factors that weigh in to creating this list, including job opportunities, safety, quality of schools, economic strength, and things to do. This year, of the 100 small towns chosen for this honor, 5 of them are in the wonderful state of Minnesota! There is no other state with more than 5 cities on the list. Several states have none.

The 5 small towns chosen from Minnesota are Chanhassen (in the top 10!), Arden Hills, Lino Lakes, Shoreview, and Savage. All of these cities are suburbs of St.Paul/Minneapolis, and all would be great places to move to! You can see the full list here.
