Frequently Asked Questions About Moving

Good Stuff Moving has been moving successfully over ten years. In this time, we have taken the time to answer some frequently asked moving and relocating questions.
  • When Should You Call a Moving Company? The earlier, the better. That way, the more time you can give, the more time we will be able to meet your preferred dates. If possible, we suggest the following:
    • Local Move- one to two weeks
    • Interstate Move- four to six weeks
    • For a smaller move though, we can often schedule with as little as one to two days notices
  • How Long Does it Take to Move? This depends on many factors including the time of year, the weather conditions, time required to load and unload, and direction your shipment is traveling.
  • When is the Best Time to Move? Most moving companies would suggest you pick a time other than summer or at the end of the month. The heaviest demands placed on moving companies is from June through mid September, and also the last week of the month. We at Good Stuff Moving understand that there are many things that will influence your choice of when you move. We do operate year round and will help you design a move that will accommodate your schedule.
  • How and When Should I Pay? Good Stuff Moving accepts cash, check, American Express, Visa, Master Card, and Discover, and so should most moving companies.  Good Stuff does not accept checks from storage or out of town moves. Payment is due when the move is completed. At the end of your move, the driver will write up a receipt and is ready to accept all 6 forms of payment, although movers do not carry change for cash.
  • When We Say Complete, We Mean Complete. We will box up and organize all of your belongings, along with loading, transporting, and unloading your items, making the move easier on you.
