Good Stuff Moving Knows “Stuff”

WELCOME BACK!
As part of our Good Stuff Moving summer series, we are going to talk about Interstate vs. Intrastate moves, a subject that can be confusing.

An interstate move is best described as a move from one state to another state within the United States.  For example, if you were moving from Minneapolis, MN to Hayward, WI… that would be an interstate move.  The best way to remember this is to think of the highway, which is also referred to as an interstate. You normally would drive on the interstate for a road trip that is out of state.

An intrastate move is one that stays within the same state.  For example, if you were moving from Anoka, MN to Ham Lake, MN…that would be an intrastate move.

Being informed is an important part of the moving process.  Good Stuff Moving wants to help make your move go as smoothly as possible.  We hope we can help you with yours.  Visit us again for more tips and information with our summer “On The Road Again” series.  You can also call us at 651-488-4808 or Toll free 866-908-4808

If you would like more information on interstate vs. intrastate moves, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration does a great job of explaining the rules in detail.
