Spring brings us back to the great outdoors…

Spring is a time of awakening in Minnesota

Minnesota Bluegrass Festival — http://minnesotabluegrass.org/

We Minnesotans love our winter sports, no question.  However, after a long winter we are ready for the springtime festivals, concerts and outdoor activities unique to our “Star of the North” state. If you are planning a move or have just relocated to the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area or anywhere else in Minnesota, you will find no shortage of springtime fun.

Spring is the time to sow those seeds and plant those bulbs and Minnesota is in the Zone 4 for planting schedules.  Despite our shorter growing season many of our residents in urban, suburban and rural areas keep a kitchen garden, a practice that goes back to the days before statehood. No matter where you moved from you can grow like a Minnesotan with a few tips. If a kitchen garden isn’t your thing fear not Minnesota is home to some of the best Farmer’s markets in the nation.
